Terms of sale
Version 2026-10-23 · last updated 23 October 2026
These terms apply when you buy a plugin licence from the Vexor Core Studios plugin shop (vexguard.the-best.uk) or commission work through Studio (vps.the-best.uk/studio). Please read them before you buy. Together with the Plugin licence, the Refunds and cancellation page and the Privacy notice, they are the whole agreement between us. By placing an order you confirm that you have read and agree to them, including the licence checks and plugin analytics described in section 3.
1. Who we are
You're buying from Harrison, a sole trader trading as Vexor Core Studios, United Kingdom. Email support@the-best.uk or use our Discord server. Not VAT registered. Prices shown are the full price; no VAT is charged.
2. Who can buy
You must be 18 or over, or have your parent's or guardian's permission, and have a Discord account (Discord requires you to be at least 13). If you buy for a business (for example a server network you run as a business), section 11 applies.
3. What you're buying
Each product page describes the plugin, the Minecraft versions and server platforms it supports, how many servers each licence covers, and whether the licence is locked to one server IP address and port. Please check these before you buy.
Our plugins are digital content: you get a licence key by email and download the plugin (a .jar file) from your VexGuard panel. There's nothing physical to deliver. Your purchase gives you a licence to use the plugin, not ownership of it; see the Plugin licence.
Important technical features (please read):
- Paid plugins check their licence online with our servers when they start and from time to time while running. Your server needs internet access. If the licence is expired, cancelled, revoked, or used beyond its limits, the plugin will stop working.
- Paid plugins also send analytics and usage data about the server they run on (for example server software and version, plugin version, player counts, the names and UUIDs of online players and operators, world names and installed plugins) with each licence check. By buying or using the plugins you agree to this data being sent to us and used as described in our Privacy notice. It can't be switched off; if you don't agree, please don't buy or install the plugins.
- An IP-locked licence works on the server IP and port it was first activated on. You can reset the server from your panel a limited number of times.
- Each download is watermarked so that a leaked copy can be traced to its licence.
- The plugin works with the server software and versions listed on its page. Future Minecraft updates may need a plugin update; we aim to provide one but can't promise a date.
4. Prices and payment
Prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and are the total you pay. Not VAT registered. Prices shown are the full price; no VAT is charged. Your bank may add a fee if your card is in another currency. Payment is taken by Stripe when you place the order. Promo codes are subject to the conditions shown with them and can't be exchanged for cash.
5. How the contract is made
You choose a plugin, log in with Discord, enter your email address, tick the two checkout boxes, and click Buy once, Pay monthly, or (for a bundle with monthly plugins) Buy. You then pay on Stripe's checkout page. The contract is made when Stripe confirms your payment. We email your licence key and an order confirmation, including these terms' version, as soon as the payment clears.
6. One-off licences
A one-off ("Buy once") licence is paid once and does not expire. It includes the updates we publish for that plugin, for as long as we continue to sell and maintain it.
7. Monthly subscriptions
- A monthly licence renews automatically every month at the price shown when you subscribed, until you cancel. Each payment is taken on the renewal date.
- Cancel any time from your VexGuard panel (open the plugin and choose Cancel monthly payments), or by emailing support@the-best.uk. Cancelling stops the next renewal. Your licence keeps working until the end of the month you've already paid for, then it expires.
- We'll send the reminders the law requires, including (for subscriptions started from 1 January 2027) a reminder at least every 6 months that your subscription is still running, what it costs and how to cancel.
- If we change the monthly price, we'll tell you at least 30 days before it applies to you, and you can cancel before then.
- If a renewal payment fails, Stripe will retry. If it can't be collected, the licence expires.
Bundles with monthly and one-off plugins
- Some bundles include plugins we only sell monthly. When you buy one, the checkout shows two parts before you pay: the one-off plugins, paid once with licences that don't expire (section 6), and the monthly plugins, which go on one subscription at the monthly price shown, renewing automatically every month until you cancel (this section).
- You pay the one-off part and the first month together, in one payment, on the day you buy. After that, only the monthly price is charged, on the same date each month.
- Plugins you already own are left out of both parts and aren't charged again.
- Cancel the monthly part any time from your VexGuard panel (open the bundle and choose Cancel monthly payments) or by email. The monthly plugins keep working until the end of the month you've paid for. Cancelling, or a failed renewal, doesn't affect the one-off plugins.
8. Your right to cancel and immediate access
If you're a consumer in the UK or EU you normally have 14 days to cancel an online purchase. For digital content, that right ends once the download or access starts, if you've asked for immediate access and acknowledged that you lose the right. Our checkout asks you to confirm both before you can pay, because your licence key and download are available straight away. We record when you confirmed and repeat it in your order confirmation.
This doesn't affect your rights if the plugin is faulty or not as described (see section 9), or your right to cancel a monthly plan so it doesn't renew. See Refunds and cancellation.
9. If something is wrong
If you're a consumer, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 says digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If a plugin isn't, tell us and we'll try to repair or replace it. If we can't, or it takes too long or causes you significant inconvenience, you can have a price reduction, which may be a full refund. If faulty digital content we supplied damages your device or other digital content and we didn't use reasonable care and skill, we'll repair the damage or compensate you. Nothing in these terms limits these rights.
10. Studio commissions
When you request custom work through Studio, we either decline or accept it with a price and a description of what we'll build. A contract is made when you accept our quote and pay the first invoice (Stripe emails it). Larger projects may be split into instalments; each invoice is due within 14 days.
- Cancelling a commission: as a consumer you can cancel within 14 days of the contract. If you asked us to start work within those 14 days, you pay for the work done up to when you tell us you're cancelling. Once the work is fully delivered and you asked for delivery within the 14 days and acknowledged you'd lose the right to cancel, the right ends.
- Delivery: finished files are available to download from the project for a limited window shown on the project. Please download and keep a copy.
- Ownership: unless we agree otherwise in writing on the project, you get a licence to use what we build for you on your own servers and projects. We keep the copyright and may reuse general code and techniques, but won't resell your bespoke work as-is without your agreement.
- Your materials: you must have the right to give us anything you upload (art, configs, code), and you're responsible for it.
11. Business customers
If you buy as a business, sections 8 and 9 don't apply. We are not liable to business customers for loss of profits, revenue, data or business opportunity, and our total liability for any order is limited to the price paid for it.
12. Our liability to you
We're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We aren't responsible for loss that isn't foreseeable, or for business losses if you're a consumer. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit.
Keep backups of your server. The plugin runs on server software and hosting we don't control.
13. Ending or suspending a licence
We may suspend or revoke a licence if you seriously break the Plugin licence, for example by sharing or reselling it or distributing the plugin, or if the payment is reversed. We'll tell you why, and if the breach can be fixed, give you a chance to fix it first. If we stop selling a plugin, existing one-off licences keep working for the version you have; monthly subscriptions are cancelled and not charged again.
14. Payment disputes
If something's wrong with a payment, contact us first at support@the-best.uk and we'll put mistakes and duplicate charges right quickly. If you dispute a payment with your bank, we may send Stripe and your card issuer your order, consent and licence-use records to show what was bought and delivered, and the licence may be paused while the dispute is open.
15. Complaints and the law
Email complaints to support@the-best.uk; we'll reply within 14 days. We don't use an alternative dispute resolution scheme. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you're a consumer, you can bring claims in the courts of England and Wales, or in Scotland or Northern Ireland if you live there, and if you live in the EU you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your country.
