Plugin licence (end user licence agreement)

This licence applies to every paid plugin you get from Vexor Core Studios (the "Plugin"), whether bought once, monthly, as part of a bundle, or free in test mode. It is between you and Harrison, a sole trader trading as Vexor Core Studios ("we", "us"). By downloading, installing or using the Plugin you accept it. Our Terms of sale also apply.

1. What you may do

While your licence is active, we give you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to:

  • install and run the Plugin on the number of Minecraft servers shown for your licence (and, for an IP-locked licence, on the server IP address and port it is activated on);
  • change its configuration files and use it on public or private servers, including servers that earn money (for example from ranks, as allowed by the Minecraft EULA);
  • keep backup copies for your own use.

A licence belongs to the Discord account it's linked to. Staff and co-owners may help run the server it's installed on.

2. What you may not do

You must not, and must not let anyone else:

  • share, sell, rent, give away or publish the Plugin, its .jar file, or your licence key, or upload it to any other website or marketplace;
  • use one licence on more servers than it allows, or try to get around the licence check, IP or port lock, watermark, or obfuscation;
  • decompile, disassemble or reverse engineer the Plugin, except where the law allows it and it can't be excluded (for example under section 50B of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 to achieve interoperability);
  • remove copyright notices or claim the Plugin as your own work;
  • use the Plugin to break the law, the Minecraft EULA, or the rights of others.

3. Licence checks and watermarking

The Plugin contacts our licence server when it starts and from time to time while running. It sends the licence key, plugin and version, and a hardware identifier for the server, and our server sees the server's IP address and port. Each download contains a unique watermark linked to your licence. We use this only to run licensing and detect misuse, as explained in our Privacy notice.

Analytics and usage data. With each licence check the Plugin also sends analytics and usage data about your server: server software and Minecraft version, plugin version, MOTD, online-mode and whitelist settings, player counts and limit, the names and UUIDs of online players and operators, world names and the names of other installed plugins. By downloading, installing or using the Plugin you agree to this data being sent to us and used to run and support your licence, detect misuse, improve our products and keep usage statistics, as explained in our Privacy notice. You must not block, alter or fake this data. If your server is used by other people, you are responsible for telling them that it shares this information with us.

4. How long it lasts

  • One-off licences last indefinitely, unless ended under section 6.
  • Monthly licences last while your subscription is paid. When it ends, the Plugin stops working.
  • Free test licences last until we end test mode or revoke them.

5. Ownership

The Plugin, its code and its name belong to us. You get a licence to use it, not ownership. Third-party libraries included in the Plugin are used under their own licences, listed in the Plugin's files where required.

6. Ending the licence

We may suspend or end your licence if you seriously break this agreement (for example by sharing or leaking the Plugin), or if your payment is refunded or reversed. We'll tell you why. When the licence ends you must stop using the Plugin and delete your copies.

7. Support and updates

We provide updates and reasonable support by email and Discord while we sell and maintain the Plugin. We aim to keep it working with new Minecraft versions but can't guarantee a date.

8. Your legal rights

If you're a consumer, nothing in this licence affects your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including the right to a repair, replacement or refund if the Plugin is faulty or not as described. Our liability is as set out in the Terms of sale.

9. Not affiliated with Mojang

10. Law

This licence is governed by the law of England and Wales. Consumers keep the protection of the mandatory law where they live, and may bring claims in their local courts.
