Refunds and cancellation

This page explains when you can cancel and get your money back for purchases from Vexor Core Studios. It's part of our Terms of sale.

Plugin licences (one-off and monthly)

The 14-day cancellation right. UK and EU consumers normally have 14 days to cancel an online purchase. Because your licence key and download are available immediately, our checkout asks you to confirm that you want access straight away and that you understand you lose the 14-day right to cancel once access starts. You can't complete a purchase without both confirmations, and we include them in your order confirmation email.

Goodwill refunds. Even so, if you bought by mistake and haven't downloaded the plugin or activated the licence on a server, email us within 14 days and we'll refund you in full.

Duplicate or mistaken charges are always refunded.

Faulty or not as described

If a plugin doesn't work as described on its page, or isn't of satisfactory quality, your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 apply whatever the checkout said:

Tell us what's wrong at support@the-best.uk or on our Discord server.
We'll try to fix it (repair) or give you a working version (replacement) within a reasonable time.
If we can't, or it takes too long or causes you significant inconvenience, you can have a price reduction, up to a full refund.

Problems caused by unsupported server software or versions, other plugins, or changes you made aren't faults, but we'll still try to help.

Cancelling a monthly subscription

Cancel any time from your VexGuard panel (open the plugin and choose Cancel monthly payments) or by emailing us. No reason needed and no fee. Cancelling stops the next payment; your licence works until the end of the month you've paid for. We don't refund part-months, except where the law requires it or the plugin was faulty.

Bundles with monthly and one-off plugins. Cancelling stops only the monthly plugins (at the end of the month you've paid for). The one-off plugins in the bundle were paid once and keep working. The 14-day rules above apply to the whole purchase, and your rights if a plugin is faulty apply to each plugin, one-off or monthly.

Studio commissions

Cancel within 14 days of accepting the quote for a full refund, less a fair amount for any work done if you asked us to start within those 14 days.
After that, if you want to stop, tell us. We'll charge for the work done so far and refund the rest of anything paid in advance.
Once the finished work is delivered (and you asked for delivery within the 14 days and acknowledged losing the right to cancel), the cancellation right ends, but your rights if the work is faulty or not as agreed remain.

How refunds are paid

Refunds go back to the card you paid with, through Stripe, within 14 days of us agreeing the refund. A refunded licence is revoked. Your bank may take a few more days to show it.
